Playa los Cocos

Playa Los Cocos is a peaceful beach located in La Entrada near Cabrera, known for its tall coconut palms, golden sand, and beautiful Atlantic views. With fewer crowds and a relaxed local atmosphere, it’s a perfect place to enjoy nature, ocean breezes, and the quiet charm of the Dominican Republic’s north coast.

Playa Los Cocos is a scenic and tranquil beach in the coastal community of La Entrada, just a short drive from Cabrera on the Dominican Republic’s north coast. The beach gets its name from the many coconut palm trees that line the shoreline, creating natural shade and a picturesque tropical landscape.

The beach features a long stretch of sand with open views of the Atlantic Ocean. Gentle ocean breezes, swaying palm trees, and the sound of waves create a peaceful setting that feels far removed from crowded tourist areas. Because it is less developed than many other beaches in the country, Playa Los Cocos offers visitors a more authentic and relaxed coastal experience.

While the Atlantic waves can sometimes be strong, the beach is a great place for long walks, sunbathing, and enjoying the natural beauty of the coastline. The surrounding area is also ideal for photography, especially during sunrise and sunset when the light reflects beautifully across the water and palm-lined shore.

Playa Los Cocos is located close to other local attractions in La Entrada, including Playa La Boca, where a river meets the ocean, and the well-known Laguna Dudú. Together, these destinations make the La Entrada area a wonderful place to explore the natural beauty and hidden beaches of the Dominican Republic’s north coast.
